Sketched human figures at the end of their lives on their final journey to another world. This other world - we assume it to be at the very top - can be the paradise of the Christian or Muslim world of faith, the realm of the dead in Greek and Egyptian cultures or the idea of rebirth in Far Eastern faiths, depending on one's own imagination and mythology. The figures strive more or less powerfully "upwards" on the ladder to heaven, some hindering each other, others supporting each other; some full of energy, others hesitating and faltering.
