Designing with the chainsaw. As a curious person, I am venturing away from stone, towards wood and a lot of machine work. Not working by hand deprives me of the self-conception that I can express the form with my sensing hand. I wrap myself around the trunk, not wanting to rob it of its size, pushing myself to my physical limits. The figure is looking for its expression, I am looking for my way of becoming master or woman of such a dimension. Finally, I place the trunk horizontally, turn and twist it. In the end she wants to return to vertical, to feel her way upwards.
